Arizona's Advocates has assisted many families in reaching the high expectations and the successful navigation of the educational system. You are not alone in your struggles. We can assist you too. As experienced advocates, we are here to help you gather information, understand the rules of the special education process, and support you in planning and preparing for meetings. We ask questions and listen for answers, identify problems, and assist in proposing solutions. As parents of children with special needs, we are intimately aware that meetings with school personnel can be overwhelming and emotional. We bring knowledge, experience, and expertise to your child's education meetings. Mission Arizona's Advocates mission is to empower parents to be equal participants in their children's educational process; to express their high educational expectations in a manner that will produce positive actions; to have their ideas acknowledged; and their dreams realized. Individual Contractors Arizona's Advocates associates have specific training and experience in a variety of areas related to education and negotiation. All of our advocates have extensive knowledge in the area of Special Education and Educational Advocacy. As individual contractors we have a variety of backgrounds and expertise. It is our recommendation that you review the backgrounds and specific expertise of our associates and interview any advocate you wish to work with to make sure they match your families' needs. Please know that Arizona's Advocates members are individual practitioners not partners. Associates are solely responsible for their work, contracts and agreements. Founders The need for highly competent educational advocates in Arizona is extensive and growing. Each year we have found that an increasing number of families seek out the services of experienced and effective educational advocates. Arizona's Advocates brings together individuals already in practice with a rich assortment of personalities. We share a similar philosophy while having a variety of knowledge, skills, and backgrounds. All of our associates are parents of children with special needs, and we recognize that our children's education is among the most important issues in our lives. For this reason, we will advise families as to who is the most effective advocate for their particular needs.
